Standards and Regulations: Las Amazonas del Encanto

One of Barriler@s, Inc.'s key initiatives is to provide its members with opportunities for growth and advancement through a wide range of equine activities that allow them to showcase, develop, and strengthen their horsemanship, sportsmanship, teamwork, and general equine education. These activities aim to create well-rounded riders who excel both in the sport and in their personal development.

Through the International Initiatives Component, Barriler@s, Inc. seeks unique opportunities for its members to engage in multicultural exchanges, international competitions, exhibitions, and clinics. This component is part of a pilot program that brings together international equine associations from over 12 countries to create a platform for these opportunities. By fostering international relationships, this program opens doors for Barriler@s members to participate in cross-cultural learning and compete on a global scale.

Funds allocated to the International Initiatives program will help cover the costs of participation, either in part or in full, ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent members from taking advantage of these life-changing experiences.

Barriler@s, Inc offers two types of International Eventing:

  • Horseback Choreography - through Las Amazonas del Encanto

Who we are: Las Amazonas del Encanto

Las Amazonas del Encanto is a horseback riding drill team established in 2024 under the Barriler@s, Inc. umbrella. This organized team brings together Paso Fino, Criollo, and trotting riders who are passionate about the equestrian fine arts. More than just a performance group for local shows, Las Amazonas del Encanto represents Puerto Rico in international cultural exchanges, where riders demonstrate their skills while sharing their love for equestrian traditions on a global stage.

Participation in these events requires riders to master a variety of horse gaits, showcasing their versatility and adaptability across different equestrian disciplines. Las Amazonas del Encanto provides a platform for riders to excel in synchronized, artistic routines, emphasizing precision, teamwork, and cultural representation. The team offers a space for those who prioritize the beauty and grace of equestrian artistry over high-speed events like barrel racing. Through synchronized movements and elegant riding patterns, Las Amazonas del Encanto highlights the unique charm of Puerto Rican equestrian traditions while preserving and promoting these customs.

As cultural ambassadors, the riders not only perform choreographed routines but also engage in international equestrian events, embodying the richness of Puerto Rico's heritage. Through participation in these exchanges, they contribute to a broader cultural dialogue while growing as versatile and skilled equestrians. Las Amazonas del Encanto unites riders who value the artistry of horsemanship, providing them with an opportunity to celebrate their craft and share their heritage with the world.
